What updates—and when

01WoW events

Levels, places, groups, loot, and deaths update immediately inside the addon.

02Eggware profile

Core and its modules keep one local, character-based history in SavedVariables.

03OBS companion

The prototype reads that file after /reload or logout, when WoW writes it to disk.

Standard WoW addons cannot open sockets or continuously write arbitrary files. The in-game interface is realtime; the included SavedVariables-to-OBS bridge is save-bound.
